What others say about my Going In The Zone Programme:
Ciaran Power, former pro-cyclist and competitor in two Olympic Games
“My advice is to do Alan’s programme. His insight into how athletes think is fantastic, but his ability to simplify things is what makes him different.”
Padraig Marrey, Ireland’s Highest Qualified Cycling Coach
“I would recommend his programme to all athletes, no matter what discipline you do, I would also recommend it to coaches because it gives you tools that you can bring into your sporting environment and into your coaching sessions. It has been invaluable”.
Ciaran Conlan – National Athletics coach and trainer of Inter County teams
“I always get Alan to work with any team I am coaching. He always manages to get the best out of everyone and is fantastic to work with. His programme is not just informative but interactive. I can without a doubt recommend Alan’s programme.”
PJ Nolan – Former Cycling Ireland President and cycling team manager
“He manages to blend his vast amount of academic knowledge into information that is precise and easy to understand and I would have no hesitation in recommending his approach to mental preparation for either individual or team competition”
Simon Linscheid – Olympic Athlete
“What surprised me most about following Alan’s visualisation session was, that sitting in a chair going through his mental program, I was able to feel impulses in the nervous system, feel the muscle twitching. I had never felt that before and that was actually quite exciting. When I went to the Olympics, and I went to major International Competitions, I was able to recreate that using his programme. I was much more focused and confident. Alan’s programme is amazing and I would recommend it highly to anybody.”
Nick O’Hare – Olympic Swimmer and national record holder
“My advice for anyone taking their sport seriously is to do some mental fitness training. I used Alan for my Olympic preparations and the results were fantastic. After doing Alan’s programme you come out brimming full of confidence and feel as if you could accomplish anything”
FAQ’s
Who is the course suitable for?
Competitors who take their performance seriously. You don’t need to be the best sports person in the world but you must want to improve.
Coaches who want to learn new skills to lead their athletes or team to success
Parents who want to know how to motivate and encourage their children to reach their full potential.
Do you really give my money back if I don’t see improvements in my performance?
Absolutely! If in the first two weeks of signing up to the Going In The Zone course you feel the course is not for you, you will get a full refund.
Are there going to be updates to the course?
The content for the course may develop over time and new exercises and podcasts as well as webinars on different topics and interviews with top athletes and coaches may be added. The good news is you only pay once.
Why are you putting this mental training programme online?
For two years now I have been working hard to develop a way of bringing the work I do with my clients online so that others from around the world who can’t come to see me on a one-to-one basis because of cost or time or location can now get my mental training programme brought directly to their PC or mobile device.
Why use the Going In The Zone programme? Won’t a good sport psychology book do the same job?
Sure, you can try another self-improvement book or read a few more articles, especially if you love thinking about how the mind affects performance. Books typically present huge amounts of new information at once. They get you all fired up about a “new” way of doing things… which lasts for a few days. Then you’re back to where you were before.
If you get great results by reading alone, I applaud you. But if you’re having trouble putting what you know into action, the Going In The Zone course might be for you.
Don’t get me wrong, I love books and articles, hell I will even suggest and review some of my favourite books during the course and in the content I deliver.
The formula is simple: I deliver training, support, and a process that encourages real change. And that’s not something you can find in a book.
I am not new to mental fitness training. Will I still benefit?
I coach cycling. I even coach coaches on how to coach cycling but I still have a cycling coach who does my training plans for me when I am preparing for huge events like the Race Across America. Why? Because I believe knowledge is not what gets results but accountability.
You may have a lot of knowledge but I can supply you with the accountability and structure you might find really useful.
I am a parent of a child doing sport. What will I learn?
As a parent you naturally want the best for your child, whether it’s in school, at home or in sports competition. But knowing how to help your child improve performance in sports without pressuring them is a fine line to walk.
If your son or daughter looks like a top performer, but freezes in competition, then the Going In The Zone programme can help. As a sports parent, you can accelerate your child’s confidence and mental toughness!
I work very closely with young athletes and their parents and I can absolutely guarantee that with the techniques you will learn on this course you will help your kids excel in sports and life!
I am a coach/ manager of a team. Does my full team need to sign up for the programme?
As a leader you can learn a huge amount within the programme and implement it directly with your team. I work very successfully with teams who haven’t even met me because the coaches and manager is implementing the tools I taught them. If however you feel that certain players would benefit from the programme you should recommend it to them.
